Well I feel super duperly amazingly hi-tech... Sitting here on the late night train home hot spotting my iPhone to have Internet on my ipad! Oh yeah! :-)

So where to begin... So much has happened - including me becoming a hi-tech nerd! ;-) Last week was super busy! I was at Cirque du Soir every night last week, I love it there as its the perfect excuse to dress up! Monday was awesome as I wore a terrifying rabbit mask and pretty much nothing else except for carrots...! Ha ha I love my job sometimes!! I could hardly see anything with gives you a great sense of inhibition to dance like no one is watching! Wednesday I was a naked cat playing with a huge ball of wool Friday and Saturday I was a glamours showgirl and I ended the week being a strange clown.

It's a hardcore week as I'm working 12-3:30am and it was made even harder by the snow blizzard that descended on us at the end of the week! Friday and Saturday nights I also had shows before cirque in London, so due to fear of being stranded somewhere sans hoops I decided to pack up and move to London for the weekend. The only problem with that was I had the hugest trekking backpack and about 50 hula hoops to lug all weekend over London in the snow! Yikes. But I'm lucky to have my amazing nan to stay with.

Friday nights show was amazing!! I was performing at Lucha Britannia which is a wrestling show. It was a bit daunting walking in at first and being confronted with loads of half naked, sweaty, mussel men!! Lol! But everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. I had a fantastic show and it was the first time I've ever performed in a wrestling ring!

Saturday night my earlier show was at Gypsy Hotel. It's the second time I've performed there, and it's a crazy bourbon drenched debauched party!! They always have awesome bands playing and I was lucky to be billed with my crazy assed gaga friend Aurora Galore. Sadly I left before her act as I had to get myself down to Cirque, but I have no doubt she wowed the crowd!

Tooderly pip for now!

2013 has kick started with a bang! The first shows of the year were at proud cabaret Brighton on fri and sat night. Both nights were wonderful and I was performing with lovely friends! The audience were well up for it too and it sounded as though i had a few fans in the audience which is always nice. After my Sat night show I dashed down to the messmerist to perform the midnight spot. It's always a good gig that one! They only have one performer that comes out at midnight and performs at the stroke of midnight to a somewhat bewildered and bemused crowd! However it always goes down well! And then it's over so quickly!!

Last night, Monday, I was up at Cirque du Soir in London for my first night of a weeks run of shows. Last night was animal themed so I borrowed a giant rabbit head, danced around and ate carrots all night!!

Tooderly pip for now!

Goodness me December has been so busy I haven't had time to update my blog at all!

Thurs 13th - Sunday 16th was the busiest weekend of them all! Thursday night I started everything off with a show at proud cabaret Brighton. Friday me and Fred put together two 20 min shows for Bupas Christmas party at the Hilton in Brighton. We both performed two so,o routines and two routines together which were a juggling act and the sub trunk. Saturday was my busy busy use day! I started off with a circus workshop followed by Santa and elf for the royal guards at their Windsor barracks. They created a wonderful grotto for myself and Father Christmas and the children were lovely. After that I was straight to Brighton to perform my teo hoop routines at Pop Craft and as soon as I was finished it was straight down to the messmerist to perform at the midnight slot! Then home to collapse in bed ready to be up early the next morning to do circus workshops and Santa and elf again for Gurkhas at their barracks in Maidstone! Phewph!

The following weekend was just as fun by slightly less busy! I started off back at proud cabaret Brighton on the thurs night. Friday night I was up to London on a train journey from hell! Due to a fire on the tracks the trains were p the spout so it took me 3hrs!! I arrived an hour late, stressed and disheveled! But I was ready in no time to entertain addison lee for their Christmas party at Koko in Camden. And what a venue! Wow it was truly beautiful! I started the night doing meet and greet and was given over 25 multi coloured helium ballrooms to hold! Then after a quick costume change it was time for the of circus show with the fuel girls.

Saturday night I was back at proud cabaret Brighton and Sunday I was at the Amex stadium for Brighton and hove albions Christmas do! There were loads of footballers there by I had no idea who anyone was! Lol!

And then it was time off for Christmas!!!! I have spent the last few days partying with friends and eating and drinking too much! But I have enjoyed every minute! :-)

Tooderly pip for now!

It was a weekend of train journeys, however the hours flew past with the help of my new ipad and all the crochet orders I've had flooding it! Friday I had a 4 1/2 hour ride down to Exmouth in Devon for Kinky an Quirky. What a fabulous show it was too! I was performing along side Beau Rocks who performed an amazing acted dressed as a christmas tree. She was even adorned with flashing christmas tree lights and tinsel. The fantastically named Sherry Trifle was also on the bill and I really enjoyed her beautiful Isis wing act. Headlining the show was Kitty Bang Bang. Sadly I only managed to catch the odd glimpse of her from my view point in the wings, but her costume was stunning with feathers and bows which appeared larger than her! it looked like an amazingly high energy act.

After the show well trundled back to our hotel for a glass of wine before collapsing in our beds. The next morning I was up bright and early and on a train heading to London. With a quick pit stop to visit my nan to refuel on chips and cake I headed over to Volupte for Cherry Shakewells Pussy Galore. I had reworked my circus act to fit in with the James Bond theme. I had found a crazy Balkan version on the 007 theme song. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and the music sounded fantastic blasting through the clubs sound system.

There was no rest for me on Sunday as I was up early again to spend the day working with my dad. We performed a circus show, did balloon modelling and generally played with and entertained the children for they christmas party. Later I donned my elf hat and assisted Father Christmas (who has more than a passing resemblance to my dad.........) to give out all is presents.

And Monday? Well Monday I spent a well earned bed day! :-)

See you 'round like a hula hoop!

Well December has well and truly managed to sneak up behind me with out me noticing!

Novemeber was sent off in style with a fabulous celebration of my birthday. It was a rather civilised do of dinner and cocktails with my nearest and dearest. I was up early the next more to go entertain the troops up at Abingdon barracks. It was their medal ceremony for doing 6 moths in Afghanistan. I had a lovely afternoon and even had a unicorn painted on my chops, perks of the job eh! Makes you think tho... So people run around with machine guns dressed in camo for a living, I was armed with balloons and glitter! However I'm mighty good at making a balloon machine gun...

Friday night I was back at proud Brighton cabaret, lovely night with coco Deville, cherry Bella, Jason Abrahams and a wonder burlesque dancer named Randi Lee. My highlight of the night was my mini roast dinner the chef gave me at the end... Ahh more perks of the job..!

Saturday night was our big night performing with Circus De Cabaret in Burgess Hill. Fred, my dad, hosted the whole evening. And what a star he was too! I was very proud of him. Sadly my second hoop routine, the hula strip, had to be pulled last minute due to the heards of children that began streaming in! I was sad to loose it as it would have been the perfect opertunity to get it filmed. I did however manage to get my circus routine filmed... It can be view on YouTube HERE.

Me and Fred ended the show with out magic illusion The Sub Trunk. Other than a techincal 'blip dahrling' at the end it went fantastically.

In other news I have seemed to have been featured in club videos this week! The first was for Halloween Tortue Graden and the second; Halloween Cirque Du Soir. Videos can be viewed HERE and HERE.

Well I'd better say tooderly pip for now, and drag my lazy butt out of bed and get rehearsing my James Bond hula hoop routine that I'm performing on Saturday night...!

So - Tooderly pip for now!

mwah!

Im sure the days and weeks are slipping past quicker than ever at the moment! Ive just had two weekends of shows and a party with a holiday to Paris squeezed slap bang in the middle!

The weekend before the one just gone I was hula hooping at Proud Brighton on Friday and Saturday night for Pop Craft. Saturday was a mad one as i was teaching a two hour hoop class in Brighton, then straight to perform at Pop Craft and then off to my cousins fancy dress party. I was so limited for time that me the hubby had to get dressed for the party backstage at Proud Brighton! And then make our way all the way over to Shorham dressed as ...... drum roll please...... Burt and Ernie!!

Though the minute we walked through the doors we were confronted by ANOTHER Burt and Ernie!! What are the chances of that?!

With barely much time to scrub the face paint off we found ourselves on a train to the heart of Disneyland where we played for the whole week! :)

Returned from Paris late the Friday night and i was back in costume and makeup for Scarlet Cabaret in Guildford. And what a lovely little cabaret it was! Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming and I was even given a goody of gifts after id performed! I really hope to work there again! :)

Tooderly pip for now! :)

Well the last two weeks have been really quiet for me! What with a mixture of poorlyness and show cancellations. Halloween i had a last minute booking up at Cirque Du Soir in London with Billie Rae, she made me look gorgeously disgusting on the train up there! Once there it was all go with the bandages and fake blood as i turned myself into a Mummy! The club was fully packed and there wasnt even room to hoop so i spent the night mummy dancing! We very nearly didnt make our 4am train home as there was no taxis in sight! We managed to catch the train by the skin of our teeth and bumped into friends in the carriage. It was a cheery ride home! However everyone leaves me at Brighton and i get onto another train to Worthing, being alone with no one to chat to I quickly fell asleep.... And only went and missed my stop! I ended up in Chichester about 30mins further down the line! By this time it was near 7am and people were getting on the train to go to work being a Thursday and all! And there was me covered in blood and makeup from the night before! Good job it was halloween - I must have looked a frightful sight!

The following gig i did after this was the midnight spot at The Messmerist in Brighton. Golly gosh its tight for space in there - im lucky i didnt clip anybody with my LED hoop!

The rest of my time has been taken up with crocheting! Do look at my website www.chichicrochet.co.uk to see my work!

Tooderly pip for now!

Thursday i was whisked up north to Nottingham for a show at Rock City. I was the only performer and i was on the main stage in the main room, so that means performing to a crowd of around 2,000 people! They went wild for my second act, my hula hoop strip tease! Though i think half of them must have thought i got fully naked due to the lighting and the distance from the stage! Its funny because i have spent years learning my skills with multi hooping and what not - but all anyone really wants to see is boobies!! lol! Anyway i really enjoyed myself and was even hanging our with American rock band, Bowling for Soup, backstage. I spent the night up in Nottingham in a lovely hotel on top of a hill with a huge view out over Nottingham. I really hope to go back soon!

Friday i had a right mix up and had a gig cancelled, which, to be honest, i was rather pleased about as it meant i could recharge my batteries from Nottingham.

Then Saturday it was time to really let my hair down... Or though ironically my hair was tied up in such tight curls I had to cut some out... but anyway i digress... Saturday was Torture Garden Halloween!

Me, my husband, Veronica Blacklace and a Blacklace sibling, Anna, were all assisting Billie Rae and her parachute act. Sam and Anna were whafters and myself and Veronica Blacklace were whrithers...! All was fine in the rehearsal, but at 2:30am when we came to perform we were all rather tipsy!! So i have a hazy memory of the performance - but im sure it was fabulous! The night certainly was!!

Morning one and all! So its been a little while since i last updated and thats because ive been swept away in a blur of partying! Last weekend saw my husband turn 29 and we celebrated in style all weekend! Which did mean we were both a little worn out when it came to his actual birthday on the Monday morning! I had all week to recover and then it was full steam ahead for shows at the weekend.

It was a triple whammy of Proud Cabaret Brighton shows! I kicked off my weekend on Friday night with the wonderful Dolly Rocket, Cherry Bella and Coco Deville. I was back Saturday with the lovely Jason Abarhams, Elsie Diamond and Dolly Rose. Then Sunday i was back again for a wedding with good ol' Dolly Rocket and fire performer Gabbi. It was nice to be able to leave my hoops at the venue all weekend so it was relative stress free train travel without the usual drunk 3 questions...

1/ What are they? 'Hula Hoops'

2/ What do you do with them? 'Hula Hoop'

3/ Can you do all of them? 'Yes'

Ive thought of getting a t-shirt printed that says 1/Hula Hoops 2/Hula Hoop 3/Yes

Slap bang in the middle of the weekend I was at Funfair Club on Saturday night. So I nipped down quickly after finishing at proud and got the dance floor hooping!

Before i realised it, once again it was Monday! And Monday I was up at cirque Du Soir. This time I was with my bestie Billie Rae and the gorgeous Dolly Rose for pin-up night!

It was a fun night but I dont get home until 6am and my stupid body clock woke me up at 9am! That brings me to today, Tuesday, and its time to get planning for my hula hoop class tonight!

Tooderly pip for now!
